SUBBARAMA SHASHTRIGAL – AUPAMANYAVA GOTHRAM
Congratulations to those who have painstakingly collected data and prepared Rama Shashtrigal family tree. It has been featured in “Trikkur” website.
Following is a humble presentation of the other major clan – Subbarama Shashtrigal. Despite best efforts, information on some branches of the Gothram could not be collated properly. I invite the dear gothra members to help obtain the missing data and complete the family tree.
GENERATION I
1. SUBBARAMA SHASHTRIGAL
He migrated from Siddamalli along with Rama Shashtrigal and others and settled down in Trikkur.
GENERATION II
Details of all the brothers are not complete or readily available. So, I am first giving the details of Krishnaswamy and Lakshmi (popularly known as Kittu Patta).
2. KRISHNASWAMY / LAKSHMY (KITTU PATTA)
GENERATION III
ii) Subbaraman / Subbambal (Annappa)
iii) Seetharaman / Parvathi
iv) Anantharaman / Kalyani
v) Narayanan / Kalyani (Nanappa)
vi) Sundararaman / Janaki (Appukutti Appa)
vii) Parameswaran / Ananthalakshmi
viii) Chidambaran / Narayani / Parvathi (Chembappa)
Note: Parameswaran was known as Modicaran. The entire “Marammath” of Trikkur Mahadeva Kshetram was carried out under his supervision. Except for the damage to Gopuram, which was due to natural decay, there was no substantial damage nor has any major repair been carried to the vast temple premises.
GENERATION IV
3. Subbaraman / Subbambal’s son was
i) Krishnan / Sundari
4. Following was the son of Seetharaman / Parvathi :
i) Krishnan / Lakshmi (Chinnakuttiappa)
5. Anantharaman and Kalyani had no issues. He adopted a son from Sundaram / Janaki :
Subbaraman / Rugmini
6. Narayanan / Narayani (Nanappa) did not have any issues.
7. Sundararaman / Janaki (Appukuttiappa) had the following sons :
i) Krishnan / Lakshmi (Rasappa)
ii) Anantharaman / Meenakshi
iii) Seetharaman / Subbalakshmi
8. Parameshwaran / Ananthalakshmi had only one son
i) Krishnan / Lakshmi (Kittanna)
Note: Kittanna was by profession school master Side by side he was managing the agricultural property of the family.
9. Chidambaran did not beget any child in his first marriage with Narayani. In his second marriage with Parvathi he had the following sons :
i) Sahasranaman / Shankaraparvathi
ii) Krishnan / Lakshmi
iii) Subbaraman / Meenakshi
GENERATION V
10. Krishnan / Sundari (grandson of Subbarama Shashtrigal and S/o Subbaraman/Subbambal) had one son:
i) Subbaraman / Mahalakshmi
11. Krishnan / Lakshmi (Chinnakuttiappa) (grandson of Subbarama Shashtrigal and son of Krishnaswamy / Lakshmi had the following Sons :
i) Seetharaman / Saraswathi
ii) Krishnan / Lakdhmi
iii) Subbaraman / Savithri
iv) Shivaraman
12. Subbaraman / Rugmini (great grandson of Subbarama Shaashtrigal, grandson of Krishnaswamy / Lakshmi and adopted son Anantharaman / Narayani had the following children :
i) Anantharaman / Bharathi
ii) Krishnan / Sharada
iii) Seetharaman / Saroja
iv) Sundaram / Lakshmi
v) Narayanan / Saroja
13. Krishnan / Lakshmi (Rasappa) ( great grandson of Subbarama Shashtrigal, grandson of Krishnaswamy/Lakshmi and son of Sundararaman / Janaki, had the following sons:.
i) Sundaram / Alamelu
ii) Krishnaswamy/Lalitha
iii) Sundaram / Savithri
14. Anantharaman / Meenakshi (great grandson of Subbarama Shashtrigal, grandson of Kishnaswamy / Lakshmi and son of Sundaraman / Janaki had the following sons :
i) Manian / Saraswathi
ii) Krishnan / Parimala
